Birmingham Museums Trust has announced plans to reopen Thinktank, welcoming visitors back to the award-winning science museum for the first time since closing in March 2020.
Visitors will once again be able to visit Thinktank and explore a world of wonder through exhibits and historical collections from Saturday, May 29, coinciding with the May half-term holiday. Tickets will go on sale on May 6.
Every precaution is being taken to make the experience safe and enjoyable. To ensure people can keep a safe distance from each other, capacity will be limited and all visitors including members will need to pre-book a timed ticket in advance.
Laurence Butler, Thinktank’s Museum Manager, says: “We’re delighted to be able to confirm Thinktank’s reopening date and are very much looking forward to welcoming people through our doors once again to ignite their curiosity.
“While preparations are already underway to allow for a safe and enjoyable visit we’ve also been making some exciting changes to the museum which we can’t wait to share. For now, please put May 29 in your diary – that’s the date we re-open.”
