It’s time to take the inside out as the promise of warmer weather looms firmly on the horizon. As the mercury rises, our outdoor spaces take precedence as a place to lounge, dine and entertain so if your garden needs a little sprucing up before summer arrives in full force, the time is now.

Over the past few years, the importance of having a comfortable, practical and stylish space outside hasbecome increasingly evident, with warmer summers meaning more time spent in the great outdoors.Whether it’s a full-on redesign project worthy of Alan Titchmarsh, or just a few tweaks here and there, you will reap the rewards when your garden is up to scratch.

As the boundaries between inside and out are becoming increasingly blurred, the key is to be clear about how you will mostly be using your space. Lounging and unwinding after a hard day at work? Cooking and entertaining your nearest and dearest? Putting those green fingers to work with a grow-your-own project? Create a list of priorities and plan your space accordingly to ensure you’ll be able to spend many happy hour enjoying your garden to the max.
