An incredible new tasting menu showcasing a nostalgic look at Birmingham is now on offer at Jewellery Quarter hotspot The Wilderness.

Run by outspoken Brummie chef Alex Claridge, The Wilderness is the perfect place to go if you’re after top notch food and a cool, quirky setting with great ambience.

The restaurant is known for its outlandish but brilliant dialect, with cheeky food names on the menu to one-of-a-kind, hand crafted wines with excellent descriptions, it is definitely worth a look.

The latest offering is Brum Forever, a tasting menu that offers a snapshot of The Wilderness team’s fondest memories of eating around Birmingham – it’s nostalgic, playful and, most importantly, flipping delicious.

Brum Forever is available until the end of August – at lunch (Fri-Sat) and dinner (Wed-Sat). Menus are priced from £50 at lunch and £70 at dinner.

Guests can expect an eclectic menu of diverse flavours that reflect the melting pot that is Birmingham.

Expect the likes of Fermented potato flatbread with caviar and smoked chalk stream trout; “Handroll” with belly of bluefin tuna, aged wagyu fat and wasabi; Wagyu short rib; and “Mr Whippy” with white chocolate, madras and mango.

Brum Forever is also an opportunity to do a little good. The Wilderness have partnered with the fine folk at Provide, purveyors of some of Birmingham’s finest clothing, who, until the end of August, will be donating 10% of revenue from the sale of their Brum Forever tee to LoveBrum, a Birmingham charity that raises awareness of and financially supports grassroots community projects in the city.
